Its strange...I look back fondly at the big council houses that used to exist and that my grandma used to live in...shabby but loved. It had a hatch and she used to makes us sunday dinners every week with trifle, all passed through the hatch.

I wish they were still around now....my DD1 has no chance of getting on the property ladder but the only thing available to them now is private rentals at high prices and no long term stability...

Cool I will look forward to seeing it ;)

See its a sign we are getting old (er) and the more distinguished man who will give us security and a quiet life is more appealing. Although a few wild nights with Robbie on the side would be ok wouldn't it ;) :T

I actually think Robbie is calming down now....:rotfl:its Gary that will be the wild one...mark my words...:rotfl:

But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

My mum's house has a hatch, she's covered it over though now cos it's so draughty.

The problem with the big old council houses is that they haven't had investment for 40 years so they're all falling apart. I'm so grateful for mine though, they're like the holy grail of housing now.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

They are Sammy, beacuse I live in one :D We no longer have the hatch though as the wall between our kitchen was taken down. I love it here and yes its not perfect but its our home.

On a side note I dont think I would be able to afford my own home. But if I am totally honest I dont think I want to anyways. I would be happy with a studio flat and a small garden. One day... As for holiday I make sure I have at least one a year ~ but its not a fancy holiday. Generally its me and mum in a caravan I have searched for online so its generally under £130 for 4 nights/under £150 for 7 nights. I then aim to spend less than £100 once there. We love it and even if I did move out of home we will still holiday together like that. A holiday is what you and your family make it not what money can buy
