Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance

Hi

We have MPPI in my partner's name for redundancy and sickness and I want to now set some up in my name, but I have been told that the people who that policy is through will no longer set up a stand alone policy for redundancy and sickness cover. This is due to the economic climate.

Can anyone recommend some good MPPI policies that are purely for redundancy or redundancy and sickness. Redundancy is my biggest concern. I realise I should have set this up ages ago and that this is not the best time to be looking for this kind of cover.

I know Britania building society do sickness and unemployment, they charge £3 per £100 of cover. There is a 3 month qualifying period, and when you put in a claim there is a 2 month wait.

I do not have this btw, only know as I am considering taking it out.
