What should i do

I bought two cheese slicers from ebay (after a discussion on these boards).

The buyer only accepted personal cheques or postal orders, so i sent the cheque two days after i bought the items (Buy It Now).

This was over two weeks ago, i still have not received the items.

I emailed the seller on Tuesday and he told me they had been posted. How much longer should i wait??? And what should i do???

Sorry if this sounds silly but i've never had this problem before.

Did the seller say when they were posted? It could quite easily only have been on Tuesday that they were posted (because they would have had to wait until the cheque had cleared). If it was late on Tuesday, this would really be classed as Wednesday (only two days).

Royal Mail won't class them as lost until the 15th working day after posting. This means that, in reality, it can take 3 weeks for your item to get to you.

I would give it a week from when the seller posted them. Then email the seller again. If they are a good seller, they will do all they can to help.

Stay in contact with the seller, if he replys to your mails its good news. If you don't get the goods 14 working days after it was posted then its upto the seller to replace the item for you are refund you the money. The seller will be insured upto £30 so if it gets lost he can claim off royal mail.
