Not at all, glad to be of help.0 -
Does anyone know if you can pay in the first £500 with a credit card? I don't have sufficient in my current account right now, having just paid my regular savings amount out, so it would have to wait until I get paid, or I just won't eat.0

I don't think so. The options on the form were (from memory) Cheque/Cash or Transfer.
You could wait and do it at the end of next month!0 -
How long do you think this offer willl run for?MFWB
Mortgage when started: £232,000
Current mortgage Sept 2024: £232,000
Mortgage free day: Sept 2029
Saving: £12k 20250 -
just done mine on the phone, again, can't fault the staff, very friendly and helpful. Told it may take up to 3 days for money to leave my account (£500) to start it, and that the standing order was fine to go through from may 30th.
will then take the advice above and change it to mid june, then early july. Great, thanks to all who've helped in this thread
Happy saving!!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -

Took about 10-15 minutes in the branch. All up and running, £500 in today, £250 going in on 30th, then reset the SOs at the beginning of June. Thanks Lipidicman.0

All done over the phone at the max deposit and s/o levels - have my main account with Lloyds anyway. Thanks for the heads up OP and to others with the strategy for getting an additional payment this month.
Let's see if it all goes well!0 -
I second that... Thank you everyone who made a contribution.
Got my accounts set up today but my other bank say they can't get a standing order out today, so that will have to be tomorrow.
So, thats £500 sent manually today, and my first £250 tomorrow (24th).
With May having 31 days, I'm pretty confident the £250 will get there before we roll over into June. 7 days should be enough, I HOPE!!!
I'll call them to check it reached the account before I try another SO transfer on 01/06.0
