Dell A920 Ink Cartridge

Can someone tell me how to prime the black cartridge on my Dell A920 after filling it with ink. I have soaked the printhead in cleaning fluid (Shallow dish) to clean the nozzles but the ink is still not flowing.

  • The ink is water soluble while wet and incompatible with petroleum based solvents and cleaning fluids. The jets are electrically operated ejecting microscopic droplets via electic field forces. Cleaning fluids interfere with these forces, irreversibly (?). If ink has dried in the jets it is a lost cause, I believe. It may be possible, using a mild detergent in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to remove the dried ink and rejuvenate the cartridge.

    Hope this helps.
