Saas and providing evidence

Have been asked to provide evidence of income for last year for DD1 claim for student loan. They have stated that until they receive this she will only receive a nominal sum. I have sent a copy of my tax return (self employed last year). They say they need proof of tax credits, I have been onto tax credits office every week for 3 months trying to get this info. They have said on each occassion that they have sent a letter to me giving this info. They have sent this on 3 occassions apparently but I have received none. I have the figures that they need but SAAS say they need the letter from them. I am at my wits end and don't know what to do. The tax credits helpline are of no further help saying all they can do is request a new letter to be sent if the previous hasn't been received after 2 weeks. They cannot fax it or I cannot go to any office to pick a copy up.
Does anyone have any idea what else I could do.
Daughter is demented about this as she lives in flat close to uni and cannot afford rent without her full student loan and bursery.

Have you explained the problem to SAAS? I think you also just need to keep badgering the tax credits people, explaining why it is important you get this information quickly.0
