Very bad way to try to attract customers. I have 5 grandkids, my bf has 3, my nieghbours have loads between them and the local authority I used to work for before I retired have thousands. I still keep in touch with loads of people I used to work with. I will be telling them NOT to bother with this site either.

I didn't enter the comp either because I thought the prize was a bit naff.

More lost business, hope her bank manager's happy with her lol.

i feel really sad now that heather has gone and closed her site down now,i found the comp through google when i was looking for book ends for my daughters bedroom,and though others would of liked to enter,i think ill not bother to post anymore small comps,unless the owners ask me to,and theres loads of them,

however you shouldn't in any way feel that you are in any part responsible for the closure

as I also have the following reservations

I am a little concerned that she has chosen to close the web site down so suddenly as this does not seem to be the act of a responsible business

also I am even beginning to wonder if the site was indeed a genuine business as
I think that the site was created via the Zapzone Network which promises to create free web sites to web masters, web designers, and individuals with the tools necessary and also implement their own branded web-based email on their sites in less than 10 minutes

the Zapzone Network site doesn't look very professional

it seems a little strange to say the least that they have closed the site so abruptly without advising there customers if there purchases will still be honored and dispatched

in closure all I can say is that it seems like any individual can create an online site and make it appear like a genuine business

I hope that no one from mse has purchased from them :mad:

What is a little stranger is that I tried to register with the site and it said that I was already registered

so I dug a little deeper and I found that the comps have previously been posted before by chickflik

I did not enter the comp as did not like the prize,
i DID look round the site, as i have friends and family all into that sort of stuff.
they would be a large number of people who WOULD actually go to your site. to see prize on offer etc. so you really have shot yourself in the foot.

The comp was posted on loquax but appears to have been deleted,
so maybe they are aware of the situation

I seem to of been on a lot of sites recently that have links to other comp sites, always the same ones, why is this? Is it an affiliate thing?
