advice on exterior paint brushes

Hi,
Looking for some advice on exterior paint brushes. I have tried a Stanley exterior 100mm (4") brush and I'm finding that the bristles seems too long for the job. The house is covered in pebbledash/roughcast and I just can't seem to get into all the nooks and crannies.
I ended up using a much smaller brush both width and bristle length and although it seemed to worked better it will take forever to paint the house.
Am I doing something wrong or does anyone have a suggestion on the type / make of brushes I should be using.
I'm using Sandtek exterior paint.
Thanks for any help.

Use a Stanley or Purdy long pile roller, generally these get good coverage upto 10mm deep pebble dash.
Buy yourself a normal 4" paint brush and trim the bristles by 1/2", making them more stringent.

paullwill8,
I know I've already "thanked you" with the thank you button but tonight was my first night painting and what a difference this little tip has made. I trimmed the brushed and I'm now whizzing along (relatively speaking). The finish is much better now as I can get into those little nooks and crannies.
Much appreciated.0
