Why do you add best offers. I never have and believe me it doesn't stop buyers haggling for a lower price.:confused:I think if you add best offer you get silly buyers with silly offers.

If I want to get, say, £20 for something then I will probably list at £25 or best offer - auto reject at walk-away point (say £19.99); refer £20 - £22.50 and accept £22.50+.

I get the price I want or better and the buyer feels that they have a discount. Just like selling a house...kinda.
  • I find the stuff I list with "best offer" usually sells best. I always leave the boxes blank for the auto reject thing.

In my case, I use it on a lot of my "free" P&P lines.

As I can not discount for multiple purchases, the only way to do this is via convaluted use of Best Offer, or partial refunds - which I have now found out mess up Seller Manager pro, as it thinks the whole transaction is refunded, not a small portion of it.

This must be a recent development as 3 customers this month have asked why I have sent a payment reminder when they had paid, received, left feedback etc.
