Lakeland returns policy

I bought a Remoska years ago from Lakeland, and it's started to blow the house fuses. Bearing in mind their generous returns policy, I rang up and asked about a replacement (no refund wanted) but the assistant told me to let it dry out (it was a known problem caused by condensation in the lid).
This was a few months ago and it still doesn't work properly. It's in the garage, with a lot of other junk, as I daren't use it if I'm in on my own.
I don't want to take the mick, but why do they talk about a no quibble guarantee when really they're the same as other shops? Have other people had more success with them? Should I be more persistent?? Don't know what to do next

I agree their guarantee is the best I've come across but it's no good saying that the fuse blowing is a known problem and to just let it dry out.
It's obviously a design fault and needs addressing.
Get back on to them and don't let them talk you down.
Tell them what you want and make sure you get it.0 -
" I bought a Remoska years ago from Lakeland "
Come on be fair how many years ago did you buy it ?????0 -
I have been told that I can take it back into one of the stores for replacement. There is an obvious fault as, for anyone who knows these gadgets, the black underside of the lid has turned a shade of blue, which definately is not right.
As for age, I haven't lied about it....it's years old...less than 10 but more than 5. The company didn't seem bothered about that anyway, so full marks to Lakeland.0 -
hmm if its manufacturing fault they should replace it i would't feel safe with such a product. My Signature is MY OWN!!0
