Car Transporter Weight
Hi
Would any MSE'ers out there know the unladen weight of one of the big car transporters, the ones that can take cars on two levels? We live on a road with a 7.5T weight limit section and there are a number of these vehicles that use it daily, and they're not loading or offloading anywhere along it. I'm sure they must weigh more than 7.5T, but I've googled and can't find any info. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info.
kind regards
Tizz

If there are several journeys being made, is this a recent thing, or been on-going?
Assuming it's new, has there been a new storage area created - fields are sometimes put into use short term with retrospective planning applications applied for - talk to the council, they will have insisted on specific route consideration for the deliveries.
Ask the company who operates the transporters, why they are using this route - the vehicles should be branded with a contact number/name.
Ask the Police why this is allowed to take place - assuming you have weight restriction signs correctly displayed - again the council should have these in the CORRECT locations.
