Car Lease get out

Hello

I currently have 2 cars on lease for 3 years, with 2 years left to run. I really need to get out of this lease as the cars are no longer needed and im just paying over £500 a month for the cars, which is destroying my bank balance big time. Having spoke to the lease company they have told me i have a few options either terminate the contract which will cost just over half the total amount of monthly payment left on the lease (around 3k a car) or find someone to take over the lease. I have come across a few sites that advertsise "2nd" hand lease deals / swap lease / traded lease (benefit for the new lease holder would be getting a 2 year lease at 3 year lease price saving around £50 a month in this case) . But you could be waiting a long long time for someone to stumble across these sites who wants the same car as what you have. Plus the website will charge me if they do find someone who wants to take over the lease.

Does anyone know of any other way of getting out of the lease?

Details on the cars

2 x black ford focus 1.8 TDCI , 15,000 miles a year currently they have only done around 10,000 each so the total amount of miles left would be 20,000 miles a year on each car. I pay £255 inc vat per car per month

I think you are going to get burnt whichever way you go. I would concentrate on getting out of one. I am assuming you will still need a car and breaking the lease will probably cost you more than getting a reasonable car.

Can you not strong arm any friends or family to take at least one?
