Hi all!

Right, I am creating a spreadsheet to show all our contractors public liability insurance.

It will show names, address, and valid to and valid from.

What I need Excel to do is alert me somehow when the valid to date is nearly up - for example two weeks before the date i get a flag or alert or something.

Is it possible for Excel to do this??????

    It should be possible to write a conditional formula to do this.
    Something along the lines of
    =IF(Date Cell-TODAY())=14,"send letter", "Date Cell")
    This should get Excel to check the date each time the sheet is opened, and if the renewal date is 14 days away, it will say to send a letter. Hard to be more specific without seeing the sheet.

    Lisa76,
    There was a good thread here recently with info on using conditional formatting in Excel to change text colour as you approach a date.
