Hallelujah! Many thanks OP - this sorts out three teachers & a Headmistress with a grace & style I didn't think I could afford! Merry Christmas! :j
And the best before is April, so I might try to hide them til Easter....0 -
Hi Dig, you've actually come to an old thread, I know which offer you're talking about though.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2729783
Unfortunately for some this offer has now ended: Valid till 02/11/2010
I notice too that this offer is still on Tesco's website even though it has actually finished. Might be worth trying to get some if you haven't managed to before though I can't guarantee it.

Ah. Darn. My colleague "just popped in for some fruit", saw & spotted the offer & came into the office clutching serious chocolate. Having exchanged the usual courtesies about it being a bit early in the day for that, she explained, & I fled to the local Little Tesco & snaffled 4 boxes. Now, if my colleagues do not find this deal, there is going to be a certain amount of moral pressure to share the joy.
I work with them daily, but the lads' teachers deserve chocolates just as a start. They're lively little souls....

Just had to share my fab bargain with these yesterday. I spotted a big pile of them at the entrance and picked up one, thinking it would be good for my mum's Christmas hamper, then I looked at how big it was and thought it's such a great price, I'd get one for my SIL and one for ourselves for a treat too! So put the 3 boxes in with my weekly shop. When I came to pay, the bill came to just over £100! Which seemed VERY expensive seeing as the chocs were really the only "extra" / luxury item I'd slipped in my trolley. Walking away from the checkout I had a look at my receipt and realised the SA had put through SIX boxes of chocs instead of three, so I'd been charged £36 for them! Went to CS desk expecting to get £18 back and was very pleasantly surprised to be offered DTD - I thought this only applied if there was actually a mistake with the price of the item itself, but wasn't going to argue!! So I got £36 back, in other words, three huge boxes of Thorntons chocs absolutely free!! Very happy shopper indeed! :j :j :j0
