OK cheers for all your help. I think after looking around, for the price and spec, I will get this:
    Toshiba Satellite Pro M50 Celeron M 1.5GHz 512MB 60GB DVD±RW XPHome

I can get it for £495 including delivery from dabs who are good. It has the 1.5Ghz CPU, but saves me £50 - is it worth an extra £50 JUST for the 1.6Ghz CPU?
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)

I recently bought an Acer 5003Wlmi, AMD Turion 64 processor (for future proofing for replacement of WinXP), 1024mb RAM, 100gb HDD, DVD R/RW, wireless, bluetooth, 17" bright widescreen for £619 from ShopAcer - it's brilliant.

If all you want to do is use MS Office and surf the web then I'd say its not worth the £50. Get the 1.5Ghz
