Interestingly, the land registry Quarterly series, which strips out all the noise from monthly data,, shows prices have recovered by 12.5% from trough, and are now just 2.5% below peak.
I have no idea if the post is accurate or not, but if it is then surely it shows just how short the peak actually was in terms of time, if the quarterly dataset shows us almost back to peak already as of the end of Q2....
Land Registry data from the hpc post.
Q3 2007 230,474 - Peak
Q1 2009 198,939 -13.68% from peak
Q2 2009 224,064 -02.78% from peak, +12.63% from trough.
As always, timing is everything......
i'm very sure that Bloo Loo will be accusing these 'shell' companies set up by the banks to be buying everyone of these houses.
