Help with egg credit card ppi reclaim

Hi,
Can anybody help please?
I've recieved all my statements today from egg over the last 6 years after sending my SAR Request. Very quick only took 2 weeks from the request letter.
I have noticed on them that there are payments for ppi on every one. When I took the card out in 2003 on the internet, i'm unaware that I asked for it, as I was a bit green and it was the first credit card I ever had and didnt even know what it was.
Can anybody help and what I should do to try and reclaim this back, what are the reason I should put on the letter.
All help would be greatly accepted.
Regards

    Hi,
    Hello there ;)
    Can anybody help please?
We will do our best for you.

It would not surprise me if they just added this automatically, this seems to be the case for many, also where it was always thought as well that it was all part of the finance.

Can anybody help and what I should do to try and reclaim this back, what are the reason I should put on the letter.

I would write to them with your reasons, do not worry about writing the amounts, but remember to write the account numbers for each one you had, if mis sold for the same reasons then you can write on one letter, as long as you write all account numbers.

More info on the link below, which includes templates, a checklist of mis selling reasons etc.

They have 8 weeks to respond in full, keep at them until they resolve, or until they issue you with the final decision, which should also include the details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.

Post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

Good luck and please keep us posted and ask for help when required.;)

    Many Thanks,

I have just checked the statements again, the actual protection is called Repayment Protection Insurance, I have no remberance of asking for this or no mention in my credit agreement with I signed in 2003 when the card was taken out on the internet.
Is this the same as ppi?
    Kind Regards

    Hi there
Yes it is probably the same.;)
You have good reasons here, even though it may be more difficult if purchased online, there have still been much success, there are loads on here who have dealt with these that were sold in the same way and were finally successful, if your not direct with them, you always have the FOS to go to later on, good luck.

    Hi there
Many on here have been successful with reclaiming back ppi as from the 1990's, still having hold of the paperwork helps.;)

One of mine was 2001 credit card ppi (lloyds tsb) was successful through the FOS with this one, so if you have any older claims, give it a go, good luck.;)

Sometimes it's simply not enough to use the template letters which can result in getting fobbed off by the banks - or maybe you just dont want the hassle!
I can recommend a company who will deal with this for you on a no win no fee basis. They don't charge any up-front fees either like many other companies do. I'm not sure if I can post their details on here but I can't recommend them highly enough. They have just reclaimed £14,006 of PPI for one client!!!!!!

Please PM me if you want their details.

    Regards
    Peter
