SBT cards

Im looking to pay off my personal loan of about £5500 and im looking at Virgins 0% for 16 months balance transfer cards with their being a 4% fee to do this.

Ive also looked at Marks and Spencers credit card and ive read somewhere something about buying travellers cheques and paying them into a currrent account.

Does anybody know how this works and what fees are involved.

Marks & Spencer Sterling travellers' cheques, purchased with your M&S card at an M&S in-store bureau de change, incur a 1% handling fee. The cheques can be paid into your current account and the transaction is classed as a purchase, so there are no other charges for the first 10 months.
