I'm surprised that site is still trading. Looking at it they not updated it for some time...

I think the only way your credit card company work is if you get an independant report or written confirmation they are not indeed Genuine UGG boots.

What you have to be careful is if the merchant sold them as "UGG Style Boots".

Good luck with getting your money back.

and what are Genuine Ugg boots then?

UGG is a style of boot and NOT a named brand of boot. Quite clearly that site sells Ugg boots. now if the quality is poor and unwearable then fine - but exactly how are they 'Fake'?

maybe some people should actually look for Ugg australia boots if thats what they want rather then just constantly saying everything else is fake.

Yeah and the website is showing this logo:

    logo.gif

And the UGG australia your refer to is this:

    uggLogo.gif

So don't you think it is a little mis leading when like a few people on here are believing they are buying the UGG brand boot and not a cheap inferior copy?...

Probably but then again if i was looking on that site and the logo did not advertise what i was looking for then i would not order.

again Ugg is a style of boot not a brand

  • I'm getting off the original thread here, but Ugg IS a brand/manufacturer name. They are the original maker of this type of sheepskin boot, which was originally devised by some Aussie surfers to keep their feet warm when they came out of the surf. the original ones were made by sewing the sheepskin upper onto a flip flop base. I had a pair in the early 80's when I surfed the north east, and very good they were too!
Ugg is a particular brand of these boots, but has become synonymous with this type of boot in the same way that Hoover is with vacuum cleaners - we all call them hoovers because they are the best known make, but they are still vacuum cleaners!
  • This company ripped me off in December 2009 (£120)
They have just (27/10/11) e mailed me again as a 'valued customer' and their web site has been re activated for Christmas time obviously.

Can I just say that if a website has UGG in the title, other than Ugg Australia, the boots will NOT be the authentic Ugg boots as made by Deckers!!

I know Ugg is a style rather than a brand but people want the Ugg boots you see in shops like Schuh, Office, Bank etc., usually costing upwards of £150...not some cheapo rubbish copy that won't last 5 minutes.
  • Unfortunately people do not know this until too late. I am just wanting to warn people that this website is active again in case they Google the address before buying.
I wouldnt have minded if the boots had been wearable but not original UGGS but you couldnt even walk in them as the soles were solid! lol

In the thread on here (Ugg boots from £62 delivered) it's been repeated umpteen times...do not buy from a website with UGG in the name if you expect to get genuine Deckers Ugg boots!
