replacement PCB for washing machine - warantee?

Hi everyone,

my zanussi washing machine is 11 months old and needs a new PCB. I don't have to pay as it's under warantee. However, the engineer said that the new part would only be covered by the original warantee, ie for another month. To me that seems crazy - shouldn't the new part come with a 12months warantee? I don't expect them to extend the warantee on the whole machine but am I entitled to a 12month warantee on the new PBC?

    Normally it is 5 years for parts, 1 year for laboor

    A warranty is in addition to your rights - they don't have to offer anything.

    I'm not entireley sure what you mean. Are you saying that they don't have to give the new PCB a warrantee? I always assumed that any work carried out was guaranteed.
