Useful link, thank you Barak. The site gives me the same number of shares as per my certificate. I just hope they made a mistake when they allocated their new shares in 2006. I have written to their CFO and am waitig to hear back from him. Thank you.0

Wouldn't it be easier just to call the registrar (details on certificate) who tell you everything you need to know??

The number of shares would be right. As explained, the original 1484 shares, plus the 593 bought in the rights issue, counted equally for purposes of the 1:10 split, giving you 207 new shares.
The equivalent (pre-split) price in early 2002 was around 1200p compared to today's 304p.0 -
As Raspberry_Ripples has implied, I think you will be referred to their Registrar - Equiniti Limited, Aspect House, Spencer Road, Lancing, West Sussex BN99 6DA.I have written to their CFO and am waiting to hear back from him.
You could try phoning Equiniti on 0800 701 107 or if that doesn't work 0121 415 7040 is the alternative for their 0871 number.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0
