Dla to be abolished

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, I am in receipt of DLA and recently heard from friends who work for the benefits agency that the government has plans to abolish DLA and Attendance Allowance, this has made me worried sick as i struggle as it is without the income from my job, does anyone know if this is true plesae

There is a green paper and also a campagne about this.

I signed up to it and get updates of things you need to do, like write to your MP etc.

The last email I got said it was not being cancelled, but then another said many charities had given up, as the green paper was in its final stages and it was all too late. So not sure what is happening.

They want to give the money to the local councils who will then assess what help you need etc. Yeah right the same councils who put their money into Iceland banks. Think not.:mad:

I would pop over to the disabled board..lots of upto date info on there. Last i heard it was staying.
