How long until settled?

I signed up for a free trial on Experian yesterday and discovered I had £5920 in available credit (none used - I have had thousands on credit cards in the past and have spent the last four years working hard to pay them off).

The credit was on three different credit cards (two of which I am certain I called to close the accounts on months ago).

Anyway I have contacted the relevant providers, MBNA and Barclaycard and closed the accounts and I just wondered if anyone had any idea how long it takes until the accounts show up as settled on a credit report?

Depends some update your files monthly some quarterly so up to 4 months to show.

Have you cancelled all your cc?

I would of kept 2 or 3.

Cancelled them all. I don't plan on using credit cards again for the foreseeable future. I was thinking perhaps of getting a cashback card in the future, but at the moment i'm not eligible for a decent one.

Anything I want or need will just have to wait until I have saved enough for it. Can always get a 0% card for purchases if I need it for an emergency sitch.

So, up to four months? B*gger!
