  • independant status for bursaries .

You say you have worked for 4 years so should have p60s to support the fact you have worked for 3 yrs?

Yeah I have enough paper work to prove I have been working full time for 4 years. So do you reckon even though I live with mom and have no formal rent agreement, I just pay her cash when I get paid I cocan say I am independant from parent's, which is true, I have no financial help from them.

Is there a advice place I could speak to, or the uni would be the best place do you think?

I;ve been looking and am happy to see I can do A Level's from home. I think that would be best for me, do the A levels as well as working, then when I am good and ready I can apply for uni and financial help
Wins for 2013: Cafetiere (£40), Mangajo Drinks, Alan Partridge goodies
  • google your local uni that offers the course 'midwifery in x' and give them a quick call. They will probably ask you to go in and see them for a chat. Go and just tell them what you have told us.

Re the bursary why not call the burasry line (its on the website) and double check, but from as i understand it if you have worked for 36 months prior to starting you are classed as independant

or, bob over to the STUDENT board and ask on there... i am sure that there will be ppl in same situ
