How did your cheapo Poundland/Wilkinsons fruit bushes fare?

I bought Redcurrant, Raspberries, Blackcurrant, Blackberries and a Blueberry from Aldi about three/four years ago.
I get oceans and oceans of fruit off them. Mind you, I put a load of manure/compost into the fruit area before I even thought of putting the plants in. Once in, I mulched them and lavished water on them.
I followed pruning guidelines to the letter and at the end of the season I put wheelbarrows full of home-made compost around the plants. In other words loads of TLC .... and every single ounce of attention has been repaid a dozen times over.0 -

It depends on the variety, Summer fruiting ones are treated very differently from Autumn fruiting, get it wrong and you may have no fruit
If in doubt, just leave it alone until next year, and try and remember when it fruitsWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
