Premier Inn - Minimum 2 night stay?

I'm trying to book the City Centre Premier Inn in Norwich for 1 night on Saturday 21st November. When I attempt to make this booking, it tells me the City Centre inn is not available but allows me to book in nearby inns for 1 night
.
However, when I enter a booking for 2 nights (Friday 20th and Saturday 21st), the City Centre inn has availability for the Saturday night.
This is not a special offer rate where they do stipulate a minimum 2 night stay.
If I was to book both the Friday and Saturday nights, could I cancel the Friday night only or would they cancel the whole booking? I can't seem to find anything in their T&C's about a two night minimum stay.

There was a similar thread about Premier Inns being a minimum of 2 nights at weekends and the OP cancelling, but it was for the night after arrival, so maybe if you book the Sat and Sunday and cancel the Sunday on arrival?

It is PTI policy to stipulate a two night stay where there is particularly high demand. You could contact the hotel and ask your question (they can use their discretion), but at my old PTI they would cancel the whole booking if you cancelled either night.Gone ... or have I?0

You could try again a little closer to the time your wanting to go, they take the restrictions off if the rooms are still not going, or if your feeling brave, you could ring them and ask them to call you up if a cancellation comes up0

What would you do if someone booked two nights, stayed the first night and then in the morning said that they wanted to cancel the second night and check out ?0 -
Just had a look and if it is the Norwich City Centre Duke Street, if you go via the sale link (i.e. Click on Henry) it is £98 for the 21st/22nd Nov in total and you must book a minimum of 2 nights (except Sunday where you can book one night) to get his price. I wonder if you book via the non sale link and pay more as £130 for the same booking and then cancel last minute on arrival, would the daily room rate have gone up so that you may just end up paying as much or more than the sale rate for 2 nights anyway if that makes sense-just a thought?0

On arrival you would have to pay for both nights, but if they changed their mind in the morning about the second night they can shorten their stay and get their money back as a refund for the next morning.
orrr... on arrival you could just say, is it ok to shorten my stay to one night instead now.. we've changed our plans for tomorrow or whatever0 -

What happens if you book the two nights, and then immediately amend your booking on the website to be one night?0
