My daughter done a online shop with asda a couple of months ago after having major surgery. the driver was 4 hours late gave me the shopping. i told him most of it was missing he told me it was in the van and would go and get it. i stood there for 15 mins then went looking for him he was gone phoned asda they asked what i was missing said they would send it the next day. three days latter some of it turned up. DD tried to get a refund but gave up in the end as she was sick and they wouldnt deal with me as it was her account. never again.

    Absolutely disgusting. :(

I ordered for the first time from Asda last week. I booked an 8-10pm slot but when it got to 9:50pm and no sign of shopping I phoned them up. They found out for me that my local store was running late and the shopping wouldn't be delivered till 11pm!! I told them this was too late and they said if it was to go to bed and if the delivery driver knocked on the door and got no answer my shopping would be redelivered sometime the following day.

The delivery turned up at 10:30pm. I wasn't happy with one of the subs but the driver wasn't sure whether he could return it for me as he wasn't issued with a palm. I said if I had to return it to the shop myself then it defeated the whole object of ordering delivery, so he wrote up the detals on the delivery receipt and assured me the store would refund me when they went through his delivery notes.

After he left I noticed my large yoghurt had been crushed and was leaking and spilling all over the place. I was also given a full bag of someones elses cleaning supplies including four bags of dishwasher tablets. I don't even have a dishwasher!

I phoned them the following morning as by the time the shopping was delivered the night before the helpline was closed. They refunded me for the yoghurt and all the 'ready to eat' fruit I had paid a premium for but was all rock hard (I just mentioned it and they immediately offered me a refund for it) and they told me I could keep the bag of someone elses shopping with their compliments as they didn't have a spare driver to come and collect it. In total I got a refund of over £11, so I basically have ended up with free nectarines, plums and peaches and a bag of cleaning goods. I had to chase them up for the refund for the unsuitable sub, as guess what?! The store didn't go through his delivery notes and as the driver didn't have a palm the refund wasn't automatically issued. But I did get the refund a couple of days later.

I was incredibly peeved at having my shopping delivered so late but I have no complaints with how the helpline dealed with the issues I had.

Sorry to hear of other peoples problems with Asda, I would definitely say though that it is worth phoning the helpline if there are any issues.

Despite the satisfactory outcome in the end, I will continue to shop with Tesco as the food they deliver is fantastic with long use by dates.

Every e-mail I've received (12?) has mentioned the draw.

Why has this thread become a slagging off Asda topic, its for the Asda Home Panel.

There is a seperate thread on another board for grocery stories.

Please can we keep on topic xx
