Can a Job Centre actually be open on saturday???!!

yeah why not, havent you seen the news lately with regards to unemployment figures rising?
doubt they will give you a saturday signing time but if they did then its tough luck. your meant to be available for full time0 -
And have you declared these 'other streams of income' to the Job Centre?
No because these only are necessary to be in existence due to the failure of the LHA setup.
They are 'subjective', to only being necessary measures to ''fix'' the problems caused by the lack of money from LHA / JSA.
And so are not 'already there', and just being hidden form jsa,
i view and get the amount that LHA and JSA give,
and when i findout that thats not enough to pay my bills and keep my surviving i THEN workout other ways to fix that problem.0 -

Yes, but i want to spend my life enjoying myself,
and so want to start increasing my going clubbing to 1day mid-week too,
in addition to both days of EVERY weekend,
as i missed out on so so much of it over the last few years.
And so i have no interest in letting myself get stuck in a situation where when i go out clubbing on friday night and get home between 3am-4am,
i then have to wakeup in the morning and get dressed and go to a building just to sit there for 30seconds and sign a piece of paper!:o
And so i find ways to ensure that i can avoid any possibility of that happening by using things like exploring new religions,
which will also increase my scope of diversity, so can only be looked upon in a favourable way.
:A:cool:
I was looking into it and saw that judaism has saturday morning worships,
and so was considering becoming jewish.
But i then started thinking that knowing my luck the guy who i have as my sign-on person will be a really enthusiastic hardcore jew too,
and so would start getting excited that i was also jewish and may start asking me loads questions about the faith.
And so i started to look into learning all the facts about the religion,
but then just saw that there are so soo many,
and as a hardcore preaching atheist i just struggled to stay awake. lol
However i phoned them today, and foundout that they dont actually have sign-ons on saturdays ever,
they only do the 1st time sign-on interview on saturdays.
So its all ok. :T:cool::A0 -

Thanks M-V, in light of the OP's latest post, that's the best advice I've received for a long time! Over and out from me.0 -

Nah ... he's just a wind up merchant.I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -
Pity the OP can't use their 'creativity' to gain sufficient income so as not to be 'inconvenienced' by having to sign on!!! :rolleyes:GE 36 *MFD may 2043

'He should be made to work for a hard master as should the rest of these benefit claiments, hard labour in the fields should sort them out. In return they could be given food and basic shelter.'
I have already posted the above to this foolish boy, he replies with what he considers to be a joke by asking to be spanked by a grown man, dirty dirt boy.0 -
 I've been on job seekers for the last 5 months and the ONLY way I have been able to socialise is thanks to the kindness of friends. I have had to cut everything else right back as most of my money goes on food because I have dietary requirements.
The 'creative means' mentioned sound a bit dodgy if you ask me! Socialising has been the last of my concerns recently and yeah, it probably does make me boring but some of us were brought up to take pride in our work. Jobs seekers is only just enough to get by but if it were any more, people like you wouldn't have an incentive to get back to work so stop moaning and try harder to fund your party life style yourself.0 -
Creativity = Selling imaginary crude oil on the internet. XD0
