best way of wrapping a laptop battery

hi all just a quick question
i have to send a laptop battery back to an online store, royal mail ripped the original bag quite heavily so i cant use it and all the shops are closed, i have to send it asap to get the money back for it (nearly £60)

what would you reccomend to go over the original box as a jiffy bag is too small
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

You could get some bubble wrap for 99p, wrap it up once then place inside a small box, padded out.

Or just go with the bubble wrap inside padded enverlope (i cant spell it)
  • padded envelopes are too small :(

my lodger is an ebay freak and has jiffy bags everywhere for small items like books and dvds

  • A bigger jiffy bag? :p

Maybe a inside out cut up cereal packet or something, padded with shredded newspaper? Or better yet, opened out jiffys
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

  • i agree with most of the above, bubble wrap rolled round tighly and taped round it, then in a box in some other bubble wrap or packing peanuts....

If its already in a strongish box. Just pad the inside of the box to stop it rattling. Then wrap the box in brwn paper and address it.

i cant return it till monday cos the shop has to email the returns address to me, so i will have a look in asda over the weekend and see what i can find, they pad the boxes out as much as they can so in theory parcel paper or a posting box should do it (with bubble wrap thrown liberally inside.

either that or i will take the box out with me and see if there are any jiffy bag type envelopes big enough, its quite a bit bigger than a4 though

  • At WHSmiths you can get absolutely huge jiffy bags, I reckon they're about A2.
