i sold a top on ebay, as i was packing it i noticed a mark on it, looks like it will come out in the wash so i contacted the buyer and explained the prob and said im washing it again to get the mark off. to me it looks like a dust mark.

what happens if it dont come off? do i immediately refund? or offer the garment anyway (its not really noticable as i didnt see it when i listed it and believe me i checked it for any marks etc)?

Its really upto you and the buyer - see what they want to do - you could always offer them a discount or refund. At least you have told them about what you are doing and havent sent it damaged or marked!

I guess the main thing is to see if the marks come off - if its a dust mark wouldnt it have come off if you rub it?

I recently sold a top on eBay and I noticed a stain when packaging the item. The stain was very small but it was there. I contacted the buyer and explained that the item did in fact have a small stain and that I would still send the item but if they weren't happy with it they could send the item back (I'd pay P&P) or I'd offer them a discount. I didn't hear from the buyer but they left positive feedback

If it's just a small mark hopefully it will be OK.

I bought a clothing item off eBay, and the seller apologised, said she had burnt it with an iron (denim fabric) and was ditching it. I said I would like it in any case, brand, size, colour etc., I knew I could make it work, am ace with marks of any kind, have even embroidered over/tie dyed marks! But alas she never parted with it.

Moral: Make the offer, it is amazing what some buyers (like me!)will choose to accept! Honesty in all things is the motto.
