Car Tax Refund-Please help!!

Hope everyone is well!

Myabe I am missing the point but,I taxed my car online around mid sept and got the tax disc back in a a few days ready for the end of sept when it was due!

My car failed it MOT last week and I put in for a refund and to make the car SORN.

The on-line form on the back says "if you tax your vehicle within 21 days of making SORN you will not qualify for a refund". Am I reading it right that as I already have the tax disc and am making vehicle SORN now I should get refund??? It is only when you apply to make a vehicle SORN, then decide to tax it ??

Clarification would be welcomed!!

You are correct, it won't affect you.

Though to be certain just give DVLA a call.

Yes you will get refund, from November onwards.

What you are refering to is when you send off for refund and declare SORN then subsequently re-tax vehicle within 21 days of submitting refund.
