hsbc card 2007 claim?

Hi first of so sorry if this has been asked before but I'm getting increasingly desperate to sort out my hsbc creidt card, so apologies if this has been mentioned before.
I have recently heard that if you took out a card before 2007 the debt on this card can get written off. I have this card way before then its at its credit limit Im trying to pay at least £100-£150 a month off thing is everytime i pay this by the next time its back to the same amount over the credit limit.
Hve tried speaking to someone at HSBC but they just wont help Ive asked if the apr can be lowered as Im getting no where. They call me constantly saying I need to pay it off but they wont help!
I was left in debt by an ex boyfriend so I have hardly any money as Im paying a mortgage by myself plus bills, Im working all the hours god sends too!
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would really really appreciate it, plus might be saved from a mental meltdown!
