HELP - how do I get rid of "Cyber Security"?

My 10 year old son has inadvertantly downloaded a rogue anti spyware program called Cyber Security!! I will be poking his eyes out later!
However, I can't uninstall it - every time I go via Add/remove programs and click remove, it brings up the registration page. I can't find anywhere that allows me to uninstall it. I have googled and come up with www.antispwareremove.com . Before I download their removal program, I need to know this site is safe as I can't be doing with another useless or dangerous program.
I now need to see if I can backup all my pics etc before I start anything. For a computer numpty like me, this is hard enough
Any help most gratefully received.
Thanks
TM

Download this, update and run a full scan. Post back with the results. Might also be a good idea to turn off system restore first though.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Thanks for that
I've downloaded it, turned off system restore, but when I go to do a full scan, it closes down after a couple of seconds. Do I need to turn everything off ie AVG etc? I have closed down all other "unnecessary operations".
Thanks0 -
Sounds bad. Try rebooting into safe mode and run a full scan from there. AVG shouldn't conflict, but you could try turning it off to see if it helps.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

I don't know what I did, apart from running spybot first (which didn't find anything) but the Malware seems to be running now. I suppose I must have turned something else off too. I'll keep you informed, although I wish it would hurry up because I want to go to bed0

It's finished - I've removed the 2 items it found but Cyber Security still can't be uninstalled
Thanks for your help so far - I think I'm going to call it a night now.0 -
lol. Full scans can take several hours. Mine took 8 hours one night, so you may find it beneficial just to cancel it and restart tomorrow morning. Or leave the computer on all night!
EDIT: Okay it didn't take that long!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Did it find the Cyber security virus, but couldn't remove it?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Malwarebytes should remove it, but you need to change the name of the malwarebytes program to anyname.exe, the reason for doing this is that the offending program knows the name of programs that can remove it, and it blocks it from running. By changing the name, you get around this problem.0
