What PC do you have?
The NEC's are good drives. Good for ripping too :eek:0 -
Hi
Nec drives are excellent, I don't think their the cheapest, but they certaintly are excellent drives, I've never had a coaster yet with one of these.
Very easy to fit, especially if your replacing an old drive, just take old drive out, look at the back, see where the jumper is, and then place the new jumper in the same position on your new drive, plug in and away you go.
If your putting in a new drive, open your computer, see if you have an extra
ide cable, or a spare connection on an ide cable, if its on a new cable, just set the jumper to master, plug in and away you go.
If your connecting it to an exsisting cable with another drive already on it, you would usually set your jumper on your new drive to slave, as the other drive would be set to master.
I hope you can understand this, not sure if I've made my self clear, all in all it takes about 5mins, I think I've made it sound a bit complicated, but it isn't.
Have a look here for drives
