I have a Dell netbook running XP (its only a month old) and i got this mp3 player on ebay, it arrived today with no wires or anything  so i found a USB cable that fitted and plugged it in. It charges, but the computer does not find it as a removable device. I installed the sony sonic stage software from sony and it still won't find it!
Oh, and the sony help page is useless. How can i change the letter of a drive the computer won't find?
and 'manage' is not in 'my computer', closest i could find was device manager!
can anyone help me please?
Thank you

This may sound like a silly question, but have you tried
plugging the MP3 player into another USB socket on your
laptop or possibly another PC ?

It seems likely that either the usb port, the cable, or the mp3 player is faulty (although as it charges the cable is unlikely).
> 'manage' is not in 'my computer'
Open file explorer and right click on "My Computer" - you will see Manage halfway down the list.0 -
