Wages gap/shortfall on starting work

... if there's 'always' ways to raise money l'd be interested to hear them.
I have already listed a whole slew of ways of raising money as have others on here. Fair enough, you are a recent bankrupt so can't get credit, but there must be something you can haul down to Cash Converters - how about the computer you are typing on? The TV, games consoles, jewellery...
I stand by my comment. Giving up a job for the sake of a few quid, in the current climate, would be incredibly stupid. Especially as the problem is short term.
I have to say I am getting a tad fed up with defensive posters on here. Civility costs nothing.0 -
Hi Viktory. If l come across as defensive, that's because l'm in an incredibly stressful situation, one which may seem like it has a straighforward answer - raise some money! - but being here dealing with it is much, much harder.
Sell the computer l'm typing on? It's six years old this laptop, the screen on it doesn't work, so l've been given an old monitor of my uncles. The color on it doesn't work properly either. Sound like a bargain? How much would you offer me for it, lol! My TV is a second hand one of my parents, no games consoles, only cheap 'argos' jewellery. No dvd player or other electrical goods to sell.
Seriously, it's easy to offer advice, and believe it or not, l do appreiciate it, after all l did ask for it! I believe l have been nothing but civil, after all, you are the one using the word 'stupid' about my situation! 'nuff said.0 -
Argh, l hate this, l hate the feeling of going into debt again, it makes me feel panicy and sick. Roll on end of November and my first proper wages!
To borrow money to get yourself on your feet and back to work is not a bad thing, per-se.
Be realistic about how much you need to borrow and for what.
Make sure you spend the money on what you needed it for rather than spending it because it's there.
Be realistic about how quickly you can pay the money off and stick to it.0
