What to do with Standard life shares?

Hi
I'm due to get between £ 500 - £ 650 of shares IF Standard Life goes ahead with demutualisation. I realise this isn't an amazing amount of money, but I'd really like to do the right thing. I'm not desperate for the cash, so would like any recommendations on if to sell the shares and put the money into a saving scheme/bank account, or if to hang onto the shares as a long term investment. Any other ideas or recommendations would also be gratefully received
Thanks in advance
