Unfortunately, there's a few of them about... Many of them work for sections that are not directly linked to a particular part of the process/benefit and still think they know it all and can give advice to all!!!"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

there's rules, regulations, legislation, laws- all dictated by the govt. everyone has specific rules to follow in their jobs-"if we want to do you for benefit fraud -we will." We will what? Conjour up false claim forms, statements, audio recordings, video evidence, signatures on documents... i'm sorry it just seems hard to swallow...RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I wouldn't take advice from some one like that, i'd probably speak directly, or try to, to a welfare rights officer or a member of the local cab, makes perfect sense to me, to take the advice of some-one that really does know what they're talking about, and not some-one that thinks they do, or even sew&sew's neighbours uncles brother-in-laws budgies foot!! You know what I mean.:pRIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

where does one find a welfare rights officer? I am curious as I often hear them mentioned.
Does it require a CAB, as their is no CABs in my city.0 -
Welfare rights officers are often employed by the local councilI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Our local welfare rights office is located in the building where the Dr's are, they really are v helpful. A few year back a phonecall from a welfare rights officer to the local housing office, was enough to sort out my problem.. You probably would need an appointment but I found them far easier to access than the CAB.. I just typed WELFARE RIGHTS OFFICE into my isp search engine and it brought loads up- see if there's one for your area...good luck!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. yeah there is some but none in city centre, hard for limited mobility people but thanks for the insight.0

Why not give them a ring? If mobility is a problem for you they may be able to arrange a home visit?
These places and services are supposed to be accesible to all. Give them a ring, explain your circumstances you never know, they might come out to you, you've got nothing to lose.RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.
