Scottish Power
Options
Had a Scottish Power guy trying to get me to move to them from British Gas. Said they were cheaper. I have a pre payment for both gas and electricity.
Gas one just in, with a year and bit debt. Electricity always had. Use 8.00 a week electricity. He said I be cheaper for Electricity with them and plus Scottish Power give me 30.00 odd quid to put in my meter for switching.
I was thinking of moving to click energy, but there is a daily charge. Which I'm getting put off. due to I have no idea KWh means etc etc etc.
Don't think I pay a charge for pre payment electricity or gas. apart from paying off my debt.
Any guidance?
Thanks

I have just moved from Scottish Power to Eon, I started the switch process at the beginning of Aug, since I was trying to avoid the £30 cancellation charge, for ending my fixed price contract before 1st Oct 09.
The switch actually happened on 28 & 29th of Sept (dual fuel) so was charged the cancellation fee even though it was only 2 or 3 days early.
I contacted customer survices to see about getting the fee removed but the rep could not do it.
I decided to try again and sent an email complaint (via Disputer.com site, since I thought it would be a protected process) but I recieved an email back quickly stating that the fee has been cancelled. So worth the try.0
