Currency purchase - Egg Money

Unfortunately I had to purchase some dollars using my Egg Money card at Heathrow airport recently. I'm in the US now.

I'm aware that I'm going to incur some charges as a result of this cash advance but can anyone tell me what happens to purchases made after a cash advance?

This is the first time I've ever made a cash advance so I've no experience and Egg weren't very helpful when I sent them a secure message.

What I want to know is whether I will be charged interest on my entire balance (which I always pay off in full incidentally) from the date of the cash withdrawl or just the 'cash' part?

In other words should I avoid using the card not that it has a cash advance 'stain' on it until it has been cleared.

Any thing else I need to watch out for here?

Many thanks.

Yours,
swervo
