Advice needed Re: Returning Digi Camera to Argos

Hi there
Bought a Digi camera from Argos, first one was damaged so got a replacement. Now tried it out and the quality is shocking. We paid £89.99 and that was a price reduced from £179.99 - so supposedly a good quality you would expect.
The instructions are useless, and the pictures we have managed to take are awful.
We cant afford to waste that sort of money, it was something we had bought in preparation for a holiday, so was a special purchase.
Our problem is that it says it is excluded from the 30 day guarantee for some reason. Apparently that doesnt come into play if the item is faulty, but does not being good enough quality constitute faulty??
Not really sure what to do - any advice?
Many Thanks

Wealth can be measured in many ways...not all of them by pence and pounds.;) :happylove

I don't know the legal stance on this but Argos are usually pretty lenient with returns (IMO - because the majority of their stuff is crap
), if you explain the problem they will most likely refund you. Male.

Depends what you mean by "not being good enough quality"?
Good enough quality for what?
Have you tried to find any reviews of the camera which might help?
Price is not necessarily an indication of quality0 -
What is the make and model of the camera? Maybe people can give you some tips on how to take better pictures with it.Here I go again on my own....0

Just because Argos said it was worth £180 originally means nothing, its probably a made up price anyway so they can they magically reduce it.
My guess its probabaly Hitachi ?0 -
All digital cameras I've had/used could be described as producing pictures that were at least of acceptable quality. My current camera is a FUJI S5700, and I onlu paid £99.99 for it in Comet. What make and model is it? Do you have any pictures taken with the camera that you can upload?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
