Heated Towel Rail

How much does it cost to keep a heated towel rail on? I have one in my bathroom, and I use it often for drying clothes.

It is plugged directly in to the mains so no way I can use one of those metered plugs on it, and there are no distinguishing features on it to be able to look at the power ratings.

I know no-one will be able to give me exact details, but does anyone know ball park figures?

They are generally 150-200W, so 1.5p/2p an hour roughly, depending on your tariff - but this won't be far off the mark

Heated towel rails can vary from 50w to 750w and most have thermostats so it is very difficult to give any estimate.

Andy's figure above is probably as good an estimate as you will get short of knowing the rating.
