Paypal issues,

long story short

Sold an item through ebay, buyer said it wasn't as described which i disputed, paypal found in their favour and refunded them leaving me with a neg balance on my account

when i get the item back i find the buyer has damaged it so i appeal (which involved providing a police report)

today paypal upheld the appeal and said for me to get my money back i need to send the item to themselves and cover the postage cost myself

this is the killer, the only item returns depot they have is in OHMAHA, USA, and the item has to have online tracking and get there in 10 days

this sent via parcelforce will cost me £54.99 and will enable me to get my refund of £51.51

paypal aren't intrested at all and can't seem to see a problem, in fact apparently they don't have to do this and are actually doing me a favour

had 2 email replies today that have been no use what so ever

what can i do??

  • Paypal said to us in a similar conversation that if the item is worth less than £150 then you can just use a delivery confirmation system (Recorded) and that should be cheaper.

    the cheapest i can find is international signed for £35.84, (i quoted parcelforce as thats who paypal recommended) but that means i'm still going to get less than £20 of the 51 paypal has said that i'm entitled to

    experiences in dealing with us to date have not been good. I completely
    understand any resulting frustration and dissatisfaction.

    I understand that it is not very convenient for you to send disputed item
    to our return center in Omaha and why.

    Unfortunately, I am unable to change this request and ask you to send the
    item to a different location.

    I realise that this is not the outcome you would have wished for and I know
    it may not meet with your approval but I do hope you will understand that
    this decision was made in accordance with our company policy.

    Thank you for your patience and co-operation regarding this matter.
    i've told them 4-5 times now i don't mind posting the item anywhere they want as long as they cover the costs, The destination isn't the issue it's the fact it will virtually wipeout the refund that THEY have said i'm entitled to
