    Some people never learn!
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

Tell her to get a second job and put the wage back on the card.

    That'll learn her!

Anyway, all kidding aside if she can get a 0% deal then go for it, does she have a good credit score? That's quite a high balance and unless she is on a decent salary other credit card providers may be tetchy about giving that high a limit.

I wouldn't do it in your name - just for the principle of the thing - if she knows you'll always bail her out there's little incentive not to make the same mistake a third time ;)

Good luck! And if you can't get it transferred, she'll just have to cut back and pay as much as she can. Actions & Concequences & all of that ;)

Wouldn't help much. My (ex) was top rated when we met. She's now bankrupt and nearly dragged me with her. Thank god she left when she did and I had my LBM when I did.

In answer to the OP: Let her sort it out herself. You bailed her once, now it is her problem. If you keep bailing, she'll keep doing.

Don't get the card in your name to transfer the debt to, I know somebody who did that and the debt lasted longer than the relationship.

Like someone said if she has good credit get a 0% from virgin oe such like transfer as much as poss.

It would help if we new what card it was? Lets hope its no a vanquis card as the apr is like 59.9 on that level of debt in my experience.

I wouldnt bail her out one inch she needs to learn ____ and without being to personel if you have done it b4 and you cleared it then it would suggest maybe she thinks you are a mug and you will sort it again. Personally if my other half did that I would think she had a serious lack of respect and is taking me for a mug!
