It depends what type of gas meter you have.
If it is an Imperial meter it will have cubic feet or f3 on the dial and 130 units will be approx 4,030 kWh.
If a Metric meter (most newish meters are Metric) and it will have cubic mtrs on the face, 130 units will be approx 1,460kWh0 -

130 units(4,000kWh) is extremely low for 12 months. The average is 20,500kWh
Your electricity is about 25% above average!
Are you sure your gas is correct? - that would cost about £200 a year.0 -

Yes the gas is correct,,the year before i got a proper reading from SP and i used just over 4000kwh i live on my own in a 2 bedroom flat..i gas cook every night and shower every other day apart from 1 fill up a night for the wash bowel,,thats all i use oh and 1 maybe 2 full wash loads a week.
through the summer just gone i used around £10 a month even less sometimes..
as for the electricity thats where it get me i run a marine tank which has 250w in lighting alone plus a tropical tank..when the marine is all on and the heaters are on the eletricity plug shows around the 700w mark
Just wait until the mrs moves in she is cold all the time,,we will see my gas go rocket high :mad:Dony worry,be happy...0 -
If you are switching, then it might pay to look at different suppliers for gas and electricity as it might be cheaper than dual fuel.
Ebico are very cheap for low gas consumption, but expensive for electricity. So in getting gas from ebico you might save more than the dual fuel discount other companies offer.0 -
Yeah thanks for that i will do didnt really think about sepperate suppliers :money:
EDIE: just done a uswitch and it seems the best option to switch would be EDF v5 saving £48 the rest are in the red.
single supplier edf electricity only £29.35
ebico cheapest on gas saving £12.16
hmmmm prob not worth the bother but suppose £48 is like having a free month,,and notice you can get £40 with quidco (proving tracking)Dony worry,be happy...0
