Selliing house to a property company

Of course, you know that you *could* have sold 'normally' in 7 weeks...
Go to an auction house, stick a £60k reserve on it. If it doesn't sell, you still have the "quick buy" people to fall back on...
ps. did they charge you any fee to "find" this investor?? starting to smell of those car-sales agencies that say they've got loads of buyers but haven't...0 -
tar for the reply,,,yeah i understand about the auctions,,,at the moment we are tied into this company for 100 days,,,thats the only agreement we signed,,,,it means we wont sell to another inside the 100 days thats up at the end of december,,,,on the part of costs,,,no we have and believe we wont incur any costs to selling our house,,,the company said the original investor has paid up and pulled out,,,a new investor is waiting,,,again at no cost to us,,,but were in limbo,,,lucky the house we plan on going to is empty so were not putting anybody else out....unless we pull out,,,,just i did understand the mine field i was getting into selling the house this way,,,just didnt realise it could be this hard,,,even expected an offer drop and have a plan ready if that happens,,,but this i didnt expect
Thanks

right,,,just thought i`d now share with you a great turn round in fortune.
after set back after set back on this house sale to a property buying company,,,,suddenly things shifted fast,,,so fast infact we got a call a few fridays ago saying the contracts and completion would be done the following monday.
Monday 11/1 came and past,,,the funds had not been received by the solicitors,,,but theyd try again tue 12/1
Tuesday dinner time we got a call,,,,our house had been sold to a property company,,,and completed and the house we were buying was ours.
The only bad bit was the company insisted we vacated the house on weds 13/1,,,,we had pretty bad snow here then but about 8 van runs and we had everything moved,,,4 great ppl helping us made all the difference.
So after a few months of uncertanty and wandering if the property companies are what the y say they are turned out right in our case.
The company we used are from Liverpool (white an co) (qwiksale)
The price they offered us at the start is the price they gave us at the end.
Thanks to all who read and replied to the post above
