Are these coats any good for larger ladies?

They are double breasted so not normally flattering for larger ladies ( like me) and they only go up to a 20 I think (say 16/18 normal size) but yes, they look good on me ;)

Someone else had problems selceting their store though usually you should be able to collect form any store with clothing

    I've been Money Tipped!
Actually I think these may look better on a larger lady, just because they flare out a little bit. I also saw size 20, but would also knock a size off.

The check one actually looks better on the website than in "real-life". I was going to buy that one just to "knock around in", but settled for the black one. The purple one is actually quite nice - if you like purple.

I agree. I tried the check one on yesterday and it felt really scratchy! I think the black one last year was better quality. DD still wears hers.

  • I bought the 16 in the coat last year and it was slightly on the roomy side. I tried the black jacket on yesterday (wanted the check but they only had them in size 8 and 10) the 16 and the 18 wouldn't close over my bust (only a 38DD) the 20 would but absolutely drowned me everywhere else. I ended up buying a red Loppa jacket in 16 petite (only 5'2" on a good day) from the D/hams sale used the free delivery and 10% and got it for £29.50.

Oh yes, I've still got last years coat, I washed it on a gentle cycle in the Summer and once dried steamed it and it looks like new, will definately by using it again this year.
  • I bought the Check instore. i found it softer then the black and purple. they had some size 22 instore.
    Nothing to declare ;)
  • I got the black and the purple delivered today thanks. :j

Thanks for the link. I won't be buying as I've just bought a couple of coats in the M&S sale, but I've bookmarked Asda direct for future use. I didn't know you could buy their clothes online, so thanks again for posting. :T

After seeing the post, I was going to my local store anyway so I took a look at the £15 coat. I'm back from my food shopping - with the black and the purple one! I HAVE been looking for an autumn jacket since last year so to get two for £30. Bargain...even if they last for a year.

    Thanks OP
