o2 XDA Mini s, VodaphoneQtek 9100, T Mobile MDA Vario

Hi!

Just wondered if anyone here is using any of the above devices, and any comments relating to its use.

I am close to upgrading on o2 to the XDA mini version. They are all the same device available as different models on the various networks.

Primarily I want to replace my old Ipaq 5450 and Sony K700i with one device.

My main questions are:

Firstly, can I configure more than one email account. I use several email accounts for different businesses, and would want to be able to configure 4 or 5 addresses, as I do in Mozilla Thunderbird.

Secondly, I currently use the Ipaq with Tom Tom Naviagtor 5. The XDA has microsoft o/s Windows Mobile 2005, whereas my Ipaq has 2002. I guess there should be no problems installing Tom Tom, but has anyone had first hand experience.

Any comments greatfully received.

Many thanks.

Not a full answer to your questions but.....

The XDA Exec I used recently was dog slow, and annoying. The customer who eventually trialled it gave up with it.

I have heard good things about the Qtek from people who have used their own money to buy it.

Have you thought of the HP Ipaq Mobile Messenger?
  • Thanks, I had ruled out the XDA Exec cos of size. I need something not much larger than a normal phone. The XDA mini is only fractionally larger than a Nokia N70. The qtek 9100 is the same as the XDA mini, just vodafone badging.

Ipaq mobile messenger does not appear to be available on o2 (current contract) and am now looking around!

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have a Mini S through my work, and it is great. Not the quickest, but more than compensated for with good battery life.

I no longer use it as a phone, and to be honest, I wasn't too impressed with the phone capabilities.

Great for GPRS data - which is what I use it for, and for email, but only synchronises with one account, I believe.

(You could have a Hotmail account as well though, and Gmail through the browser too).

    Hope that helps,

    Regards,

    White
