Been a subscriber with Times & Sunday Times for years..renewal now at £6 per week, too expensive. Thanks for tips guys, just renewed for 12 weeks at £3.50 per week.0

I posted a link on this thread about getting some vouchers for the Guardian.
http://www.guardianmarketing.co.uk/offer.html
Did anyone ever receive any? My reason for asking is because my brother has tried a few times and never received any.0 -
Thanks for the link, cheers.
Really strange that they are willing to lose subscriptions because they are not willing to haggle. BTW, you will have to add £24 (making it £312 for 48wks) if you want to pay by debit or redit card.0 -

Watch out on this one - if you hadn't spotted, the terms (which you must accept to get the offer) automatically renew you onto a 48-week contract at £6/week after the 12 week period expires. It is not, despite the wording of the form you complete, a 12 week offer. It is a 60-week offer.0 -
Well the last direct debit has been taken and I have contacted my bank to cancel it as well as Times subscriptions. Still a few weeks to run on it.
I had a right faff with them getting the vouchers and as a consquence my subscription started over a week late even though I had paid for it. I was not impressed. I will let everyone know what happens.0 -

I had a student subscription for my son with Times/Sunday Times at £10 per month for first 3 months(Oct-Dec) of this academic year. In December, they unilaterally changed this to £6 per week, even though he was promised £10 per month for 10 months when he took out the student subscription. Had a bit of hassle cancelling the Direct Debit as well as the subscription as the Times employees feigned ignorance about student subscriptions.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

ALWAYS use a Direct Debit for these things (never your credit card)
You can then contact your bank and delete the authority - so if you get any problems they still can't help themselves to any more money. In fact the bank code of practice should enable you to claim back any monies taken after you've tried to cancel through the organisation you were paying.0 -
Cancelled the Times after the trial subscription with no problems. If fact they write to you before they change the price. They tried to get me to take a weekend subscription when I said the cost was too high but I declined.0

Thanks to blue_eyes for your great offer on a 12 week Times subscription! (£3.50 per week.)
My last subscription ran out a few weeks ago and, as other subscribers have rightly pointed out, The Times is becoming very stingy with their renewal offers.
Thanks to you I've saved a small fortune. Great find! :j0
