Dr Sam Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life , striving to eat as many chocolates as possible, and hoping his last leap will be the leap to Cadbury's World.

Now you guys can spend a few minutes trying think what made me think of that.

I cant access that website. It objects to my p[erfectly good INternet Explorer. Where on Thorntons own does it list the stores?
    What Would Bill Buchanan Do?
  • Basically if you live anywhere North East of Birmingham (Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Durham, Cleveland and all the way up to the Borders) there is not one event near us other than the generic shops such as Thorntons and Hotel Chocolat. This was exactly the same last year. If us 'Northerners' want to enjoy some gourmet chocolate we have to travel to Bury or Liverpool for the only events.

No offence to those who can benefit from these but this is so Southern-centric that it really gets on my nerves and I hope someone from the Chocolate week reads this thread.

The headline on their website is 'Chocolate Week brings together the talent of the top chocolatiers around the country'. Surely a typo - 17 pages of chocolate sampling events and only 3 or 4 North of Birmingham. Perhaps they believe that all of us 'Northerners' eat Fish & Chips, Yorkshire Puds and Pasties and look like the matchstalk men and women from the Lowry paintings still!!!!

I think Martin needs to take note before adding this to the 'National' newsletter next year as both years I have been v.disappointed by this National Chocolate Week that isn't exactly National!!!

Difficult for those North of Watford I agree, however I have the opposite problem! It's a really annoying website! You can select Date or Event Type or Location! I'm in London - 26 pages of stuff - but mostly the same day by day. I'd like to ask for evening events in Central London on Wednesday but I have to troll through lots of adverts for complimentary this if you buy £20 of that! By the time I find anything the event is over!

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

I have recently bought all of the series on DVD, I saw an episode and missed it so much that I bought them all. I am now addicted once more!

I wonder if it is possible to overdose on Scott Bakula????
